Xin Zai Qiangua ("a heart that keeps caring") is an in-house home-care product for older parents, elders and people living alone. A light daily check-in confirms all is well; family members are alerted only when attention is needed, and SOS, location, health records and follow-up actions form a loop that can be reviewed later. It ships as a WeChat mini-program, an iOS release on the App Store and an Android beta, with a separate build for overseas users.
Where we drew the line: products like this slip easily into surveillance. The principles are stated on the homepage: no continuous location tracking by default — location is used only for a self-reported check-in, an SOS, a flagged concern or an authorised case; reminders fire on missed responses or an offline device; and every contact, action and resolution leaves a record, with data and permissions the user can delete or revoke.
Three sides, one loop: the elder side keeps a single check-in button, SOS and voice reminders — few actions, large targets. The family side shows status, alerts and care records. The operator console manages profiles, devices, reminders, notifications and content. A separate institution workspace lets care homes, communities and health services apply for onboarding, choose a plan by headcount, and manage care recipients, staff permissions, family links and SMS quota.
Commercial layer: membership plans, trial entitlements, orders and multi-device sync, plus referrers, commission rates, earnings and withdrawal records for channel partners. Scheduled care tasks — medication, water, walks, sunlight, blood pressure — are scanned on the hour and delivered by in-app message, WeChat or SMS, with send logs that prevent duplicate nudges. The marketing site and the H5 app are each built for their own context, sharing one account and dataset with the mini-program and native apps.
